This Privacy Policy describes how PulseStock ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our AI stock sentiment platform (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of data:
- Account information. Email address and authentication credentials when you sign up.
- Search history. The tickers you search and the AI-generated sentiment results, so we can show your recent activity, prevent abuse, and detect sentiment shifts over time.
- Watchlist data. Tickers you save and the most recent sentiment snapshot for each.
- Payment metadata. Plan, subscription status, and customer ID. Payment card details are collected and stored directly by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Technical data. IP address, browser type, device information, and basic usage analytics needed to operate and secure the Service.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Service, including authentication and personalization.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe.
- To enforce daily search limits and detect abusive use.
- To send transactional emails (account, billing, security).
- To improve our AI summarization quality and overall product experience.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers required to operate the Service:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Supabase — authentication and encrypted database hosting.
- Anthropic — AI model provider that generates sentiment summaries from public web data.
- Twelve Data — stock price data provider.
We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and users.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Search history is kept indefinitely to power historical sentiment trends, but you may request deletion at any time. After account deletion we remove personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax or accounting records related to payments).
6. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your most recent search, and operate the Service. You can clear these at any time from your browser settings.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and row-level access controls to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and notify us of any suspected unauthorized access.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) you may have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at support@pulsestock.app.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International Transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. We rely on standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards where required.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
